‘Emily was born in two hours - I was there doing the whole husband bit when out she popped. As she came out, the midwife practically threw her to me. I had her in my arms and was looking down at her as the midwife said, ‘Oh, and by the way, it’s a girl.’

‘What?’ I just lost it and started to cry. Dawn kept saying, ‘What are you crying for?Look at the pain I’m in! Stop it, man! Put yourself together!’ But I just blubbed away.
